McLean Events brings people in industry together, to 'Talk Business' and is a pioneer of innovative ideas, promoting the development of new events, utilising its unique meetings based concept. The company was founded in 1996 by Nick Needs, former Development Director of Blenheim Exhibitions PLC Group, the world's largest independent exhibition organiser of its time.

Meeting face to face is quite simply the most effective way for any business discussion to take place and is the primary factor behind all events staged by McLean Events. An exceptional venue, a high profile group of delegates and the means to effect positive relationships between people, are the core ingredients.

The first event staged by McLean Events was ERPEC'97 for the retail petroleum industry. At the time the meetings based programme promoted by McLean Events was totally unique and for the first time it was the buyers who received fully serviced meetings facilities and a certain degree of VIP treatment.

To this day, whether you are a small organisation or possibly even the largest, everyone has equal opportunities to benefit from a 'McLean' event because of the cost effective entry price for suppliers, making it possible for all most anyone to consider taking part.

    HORECO, Spain's leading trade magazine for the hotel industry, has been signed up as the media partner for hospec 09, which this year takes place in Portugal's capital city Lisbon on October 6th - 9th 2009. hospec took place for the first time in 2008, facilitating approximately 750 meetings between Purchasing Directors / Managers from Spain's hotel groups, including AC, Expo, Hilton, Melia and Expo and NH Hotels and thirty suppliers to the Iberian market of equipment, products and services. A great success was the verdict of everyone who attended, which McLean Events are keen to build on for this year.

  • erpec 09 - a great success for everyone concerned

    The latest event from the McLean stable was simply the best ever, with delegates giving it top marks for content, organisation, hotel facilities, service and food. 230 people in total over three days from Europe's retail petroleum industry, including senior buyers from the multi-nationals Shell, Exxon, BP and Total, claimed erpec to be the most effective and enjoyable, since the event was launched back in 1997.
